How to choose a 100ml shortfill

1. Match the VG/PG ratio to your device

  • 70/30 (high VG) is thicker, with bigger clouds and a smoother hit. Use it in sub-ohm tanks and DTL kits with coils under 1.0Ω.
  • 50/50 is thinner and wicks in small coils. It works in MTL pod kits (around 1.0Ω and above) as well as sub-ohm tanks. Our whole Vape Simply range is 50/50.

2. Add nicotine with nic shots

A nic shot is a 10ml bottle of 18mg nicotine. Add it to the shortfill, cap it and shake for 15–20 seconds.

Shortfills and the 2026 vape tax

Vaping Products Duty is £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT. It applies to nicotine-free liquid too, so a duty-paid 100ml shortfill carries £22 of duty before VAT. Stock made before 1 October 2026 can still be sold without duty until 31 March 2027. Our shortfills are pre-duty stock, which is why prices haven't changed yet.

What is a 100ml shortfill?
A shortfill is 100ml of nicotine-free e-liquid in a bigger bottle (usually 120ml), with space left for nicotine shots. UK rules cap nicotine-containing e-liquid at 10ml bottles, so large bottles are sold at 0mg and you add the nicotine yourself.
What strength do I get after adding nic shots?
One 10ml 18mg nic shot in a 100ml shortfill gives 110ml at about 1.6mg. Two shots give 120ml at 3mg. Shake for 15 to 20 seconds and it's ready to vape.
Can I use shortfills in a pod kit?
Yes, if it's a 50/50 shortfill and your pod uses a coil of around 1.0 ohm or higher. But 3mg is a low strength for a pod kit. If you need 10 to 20mg, use 10ml nic salts instead. 70/30 shortfills are best kept for sub-ohm tanks.
Will shortfill prices go up because of the vape tax?
Yes, once pre-duty stock runs out. The duty is £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT and applies to nicotine-free liquid as well. Pre-duty stock can be sold until 31 March 2027, and we're selling ours at the old prices until then.
How long does a 100ml shortfill last?
It depends on your device. As a rough guide, a 120ml mix lasts about 8 days if you vape 15ml a day on a sub-ohm kit, or several weeks on a low-power MTL pod.
How fast is delivery?
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Tracked delivery takes 2 to 4 working days. It's free on orders over £35 and £2.40 below that.
